History
For sixty years now they have been interpreting the dream of every woman, creating elegant and modern wedding gowns, always one step ahead of the fashion of the moment in terms both of the sourcing of the fabrics and the choice of the lines.
This means that all the Morbar gowns become creations, little masterpieces of sensitivity, culture, professionalism and passion for one’s work. Making this perfect melding of tradition and novelty possible is the team of the Moradei sisters, Milvia, Miriam and Mirte. Their single-brand boutique and their showroom are both situated in Via Maggio, in the heart of the old city centre of Florence. Their creations can also be found in many of the most select and exclusive boutiques in Italy and in the most important markets abroad, as far away as Japan. Morbar was founded in 1945 by the mother of the present owners – a dynamic and astute businesswoman whose atelier already dressed the leading families of the city in the post-war years.
Her legacy was deftly taken up, and with the passage of time wedding gowns became the speciality of the firm; Morbar is by now a famous and prestigious brand with its own unmistakeable style.
“What distinguishes us is the ability to create gowns that enhance the innate style of every bride, so that on her wedding day every woman can be a star and more beautiful than ever!” explain in unison the three Moradei sisters, the throbbing heart of the dressmaking firm.
“And every season we are always on the lookout for something new, so that our gowns can boast something more than traditional garments, in terms of the careful workmanship, the precious fabrics and the elegance of the designs.”
